Canvas Panel Exchange

Pennyquilters Michigan Winter
5×7 Acrylic

I decided to participate in a 5×7 canvas panel exchange on atcsforall.com this month. We are assigned one partner and create a painting for them and send it off within 2 weeks. I’m just completing the one I created, it needs one more coat of sealer.
I used the watercolor over gesso technique I learned from Carla Sonheim.
While I’m not supposed to share the painting  until my partner receives it, I will share the beginning showing just the textured gesso layer.

More to come… 🙂

Patchy Characters

Patchy Birds
Sharing a few artist trading cards created for a swap on ATCsforall.com… in the Junker Jane style. These are drawings to give the feel of the creepy-esque little dolls she creates.
Patchy Peoples

Granted, mine aren’t as creepy as those she creates. I just can’t seem to create creepy like that. But I’m happy with them.

Thanks for stopping by!

A little bit of art

I took part in an art a-thon this past weekend, and actually got a bit of collage art done to trade with the other artists…

Our local artist trading card group meets the fourth Saturday of the month, and someone brought up angels as a group project. A couple of us made in another art group several years ago, and I’d actually come across the pattern last month during as studio
destash bout.  However we’d need to make one for each artist participating.
They were a bit time consuming (for me at least) so while I’m not sure I’d do the group trade,(10 – 12 is too many!) I’ll probably make one or two.

This is the one I made several years ago in memory of my daughter.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
